Learn AI
For people who want to actually use AI but don't
know where to start. No hype, no courses. Just what
to do first.
Follow these steps, don't worry about what the
'best' tool is, because ultimately it doesn't
matter. Just start.
1 Get plugged in — follow these people on X
Open an X account (or dust it off) and follow this list. When you follow one, click "follow all" on the suggested accounts — the algorithm will do the rest.
2 Sign up for Claude and get a demo
Get at least the $20/mo plan — the free tier is too limited to actually feel what it can do. Download the desktop app. Open it, click Cowork, and paste this prompt:
I've never used Claude before. I want to understand what you can actually do — not a list of features, but a real demo. Show me something useful based on my actual life. Ask me what you need to know to make it relevant.
3 Map your world
Open a note (Google Doc, Apple Notes, Obsidian — doesn't matter). Make two lists:
List 1: Everything on your actual to-do list right now. Not AI stuff — just life stuff. Work, errands, projects, anything pending.
List 2: Everything AI-related you've seen or heard and been curious about. Screenshots, links, things people said — whatever caught your attention.
Then paste both lists in Claude:
Here are my two lists: TO-DO LIST (my actual life stuff): [paste list 1] AI CURIOSITY LIST (things I've seen and want to try): [paste list 2] Look at both lists and tell me: where does AI actually help me? What should I try first? Be specific, not generic.
4 Do it live together
After you've done the above — tell me what 3 things you want to try and we'll do it live together.
